Sculptra® Old

Sculptra® Aesthetic is injectable poly-L-lactic acid. This is absorbed naturally by the body and has been used for years in dissolvable suture material. Sculptra® Aesthetic is a collagen stimulator and, over time, the body breaks down and removes the Sculptra® Aesthetic, leaving new collagen in its place. Two to three treatments, spaced approximately six weeks apart are usually necessary. Results may be noticed beginning approximately six weeks after the second treatment. Sculptra® Aesthetic generally lasts about two years and we find that patients returning after that time, for maintenance, require less volume than their initial treatments.

For the comfort of our patients, we add lidocaine to the product prior to administering the injections and also provide numbing cream.
