Kybella is an injectable treatment performed at Forever Young Anti-Aging & Weight Loss Center, indicated for the reduction of
moderate to severe submental fat, also known as a “double chin”. The active ingredient in Kybella is deoxycholic acid, a naturally-
occurring molecule in the body that helps the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath your
chin, Kybella causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat.
AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE?
To know if you are a good candidate, you must have some pinchable fat in your submental area (double chin) area. Prior to any treatments, Dr. Sabeti and her nurse injectors perform a detailed analysis that includes the identification of your anatomical landmarks, a detailed analysis of your double chin fat and a medical review to make sure you are an appropriate candidate and also understand the expected course following treatment.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DOES IT TAKE?
Most patients to obtain excellent results by 2-4 treatment sessions. Patients who have larger fat deposits may require additional treatments.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO INJECT KYBELLA?
The procedure is an in-office set of injections. The typical procedure takes 15 to 30 minutes.
WHAT ARE THE MOST COMMON SIDE EFFECTS OF KYBELLA?
The most common side effects of Kybella include swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness and areas of hardness in the treatment area.
